Replica Pirate Flintlock Pistol:
Flintlock pistols were so called because the lock uses a flint to strike sparks into the priming pan when the trigger is pulled. A small amount of gunpowder in the pan is ignited, which in turn ignites the main gunpowder charge in the barrel, firing the lead ball. Both the main charge and the ball were loaded from the front, or muzzle, of the barrel, after which the priming charge was poured into in the pan - all very time consuming! Often the priming charge would burn but fail to ignite the main charge, whence the expression - flash in the pan. Pirates of the 18th century carried pistols similar to this French flintlock in their raiding exploits. As such skirmishes rarely included time-outs for reloading, a cutlass would accompany the pistol. Decorated with a skull and crossbones, this non-firing replica is great for pirate lovers! 7-3/8 inch barrel, 13-7/8 inches overall.

Replica M1861 Navy-Issue Revolver Brass:
During the Civil War, the Union Army purchased almost 130,000 pieces of the M1861 percussion revolver, making it the most-used revolver in the conflict. The gun was a .44 caliber, six shot, front-loader that took linen or paper cartridges. This non-firing replica has the handling characteristics of the original, with functional lock and loading mechanisms. Both Union and Confederate forces used the M1861 Army Revolver. These legendary cap and ball revolvers are full size and weigh a hefty 2 lbs. 8 oz. The loading lever, hammer, trigger and cylinder of this replica gun work like the rare, expensive originals. Replica 1825 Italian Percussion Pistol Brass:
Caplock or Percussion Lock pistols were so called because the lock system causes a percussion cap to be struck by the hammer when the trigger is pulled. Powder inside the cap ignites and this in turn ignites the main powder charge, which propels a lead ball from the barrel. Most (though not all) caplock firearms were loaded from the muzzle of the gun (muzzleloaders). The Caplock was a great improvement over the flintlock as it was less susceptible to weather-related misfires. The original of this pistol was made in Brescia, Italy in about 1825. This non-firing version is accurately detailed and shows typical Italian craftsmanship, a great costume or conversation piece.

Replica 1866 Lever Action Repeating Rifle With Sight:
Originally developed from the Henry rifle this rifle became famous for its rugged construction and lever-action breech mechanism that allowed the rifleman to fire a number of shots before having to reload: hence the term, 'Repeating Rifle'. The first model, the Model 1866, was nicknamed Yellow Boy because of its brass receiver. The 1866 was only available in .44 caliber rimfire cartridge at first, and the more modern centerfire cartridges were added to the production line later. It's tubular magazine was located underneath the barrel. This non-firing version clearly demonstrates the workings of the lever-action loading system and includes the pop-up adjustable sight for long distance shooting. 38 inches overall.
